Yorkville has become the neighbourhood to go to for high-end food, drink, and shopping. So if you have some extra cash to spend or just want to feel like the one percent, this neighbourhood is for you. There is an abundance of experiences to participate in his small area in Toronto, so having the right guide to show you all the best places to go will ensure a fabulous day among the city’s elite. Here are our suggestions to make sure you have the most luxurious experience possible when experiencing Yorkville.

First, You must have some breakfast to fuel your day. Our recommendation is Cafe Boulud, which is located in The Four Seasons hotel on Yorkville Avenue. This French-inspired restaurant was the brainchild of Daniel Boulud and has a beautiful brunch. Once you fill up on acai granola parfait and cold-pressed juice, it’s time to explore.

Second, You must explore the area. This neighbourhood has a storied history, and there are many gems and historical landmarks that you must see. You have to stop by the Village of Yorkville park for a little history and a big rock. Yorkville used to be a village on its own before it was joined with Toronto in 1883. That giant rock in the middle of the park is a 650-tonne hunk of billion-year-old granite chopped right out of the Canadian Shield.

Third, After strolling around and learning about the city’s history, why not pop over to the Royal Ontario Museum to learn about natural history? It is one of the coolest museums in the city, with tons of different exhibits, and sometimes even has some visiting exhibits. Also, they host adults-only events you don’t want to miss out on! Do some research before deciding to go because you could be missing out on something amazing at the ROM.

Fourth, As the day continues, you will want to stop and have something to eat for lunch, and look no further than Sassafraz! This staple in Yorkville is a perfect place to people watch, and sometimes you may even be able to spot a celebrity sitting in their chic dining room. It may be a bit pricey, but between the food and the ambiance, it is absolutely worth it in our opinion.

Fifth, After satiating your hunger from exploring all morning, it is time to work it off and enjoy the air a bit. The neighbourhood has some beautiful scenery, but none more appealing than the sleek and fancy sports cars usually in abundance on the streets. This is especially so during the annual Exotic car show that happens every summer, generally around father’s day. You can admire some of the most luxurious and rare cars in existence, or if the show isn’t happening, then there are usually a few Ferraris and Bentleys that are fun to take a look at.

Sixth, Shopping is synonymous with Yorkville, even having been given the nickname “Mink Mile,” which refers to the luxury boutiques having flagship locations in the neighbourhood. There are names like Chanel, Hermes, Louboutin, Cartier, and Holt Renfrew that you must stop into, if not for the clothes then solely on the interior masterpieces created for an immersive shopping experience. There are also more accessible stores in the area, such as Max Mara, J. Crew, Sephora, Free People, and Aritzia, that might be more within your budget. Whether you want to buy a designer bag or buy some staples for your wardrobe, this area is a must for shopping.

Seventh, Last but certainly not least, after spending the entire day out and about exploring everything the area has to offer, you are going to want to stop in somewhere for some food and drinks to cap off the night. We suggest somewhere like Bar Renya or Hemingways, which offer Mediterranean and New Zealand cuisine, respectively. Both of these establishments off small plates and delicious cocktails that will end the night off perfectly. Both are fun and lively in their own way, and a fun place to spend the evening with friends.

This sounds like a perfect way to spend a day exploring the neighbourhood of Yorkville, and we hope you will take us up on this offer and experience everything it has to offer with us!
